sam summer in the summer.
eerie and beautiful and imaginative and spooky and lovely. the trailer does it absolutely no justice.
"What I was really hanging around for, I was trying to feel some kind of a good-by. I mean I've left schools and places I didn't even know I was leaving them. I hate that. I don't care if it's a sad good-by or a bad good-by, but when I leave a place I like to know I'm leaving it. If you don't, you feel even worse."
i can't believe last month was a month ago. it feels like so much time has passed since new york friends came to visit and we spent the day waking up the earth and walking around the city. since i took my very final final exam. since i saw the sun turn my room orange and since i slept in my bed. so much time has passed. but it feels like it all just happened.
"good god. child. what do you mean you dont know how to love? do you think any of us know how to love? do you think anybody would ever do anything if they waited until they knew how to love? do you think that babies would ever get made or meals cooked or crops planted or books written or what god-damn have you? do you think people would even get out of bed in the morning if they waited until they knew how to love?" - rebecca wells, divine secrets of the ya-ya sisterhood.
