she's got doorknobs where her eyes used to be.

pack up the bags to beat back the clock.

i brought my binoculars to san francisco. they sit on the windowsill behind my bed. the perfect spot for a pair of binoculars. there aren't as many windows to look into. and sometimes its too foggy to even see my backyard. but its enchanting just the same.

your eyes came to me disguised as the sea.

i finally asked the cute old guy at the coffee place what he's doing on his laptop every morning. he said he's working on a new financial plan for this group in the mission that runs a time bank. he explained what a time bank was. and then he said that he edits his wife's short stories sometimes, too. he made my cup of coffee taste better.

the melody in my head.

oh, and... happy new year's eve. !!

the devil and the deep blue sea.

this morning i saw the sun rise over the san francisco bay from the top of a hill. i found my way after getting lost. ate cake for breakfast. pondered some possible resolutions. and reminisced about the past.

i won the world at a carnival.

happy birthday, momma.
